About me

History
Hello,
My name is Warre or Wes for those who find that hard to pronounce. I'm born in Belgium and grew up there, surrounded by my beautiful family. Touched by natures beauty, I was always around taking photos of butterflies and birds and enjoying time by myself.
When I was 14 I met a wedding photographer who invited me to his team and that's when I started to discover there is more than just nature photography.
Over the years I experimented a lot with different styles and subjects and decided to study Social Work in Ghent, Belgium. I am interested in the stories behind people. Faces, wrinkles, laughter, pain. Those aspects of our existence and what connects us all, or where we could help one another to make our stay on earth a bit more pleasant for everyone.
During that time I discovered the streets of a bigger city and loved taking street photographs, when Covid-19 hit the world and there was little work for me. I fell in love with portrait photography, preferably in Black and White. There is something about it that I adore. The oldschool, like a poem from the beat generation.
I spent some years traveling the world and tried to take bits of wisdom home from everywhere I went. South America did something to me, quite bluesy and hard to forget but my heart lives in Australia at the moment. Here I'm living with my beautiful soulmate Amber, who is from here. Currently we are living in a beautiful little house in the bush of Brunswick Heads. Close to the beach and river where I enjoy to ride my bike and to be surrounded by this beautiful community we have here.
I have done a lot of weddings, which I specialized in due to my early experience as a young man. Over the years I worked together with lots of awesome brands and the most amazing models from all over the world.
I am not finished yet,
and am so excited to collaborate with new brands, couples, models and create our own unique story.
I'd love to meet you. I'd love to capture your ideas, make them vivid, real.
So much love.
